🪆 Ecg Galaxy Watch 5 Non Samsung Phone

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just gave Samsung the green light on its Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification feature (IHRN) for the Galaxy Watch series. Recent models, like the Galaxy ECG is currently the best way to detect irregular rhythms. The Samsung Health Monitor ECG app detects ECG signals (similar to a Lead I ECG) with the help of your Galaxy Watch's ECG sensor and determines whether atrial fibrillation or normal sinus rhythm is present. Samsung Health Monitor ECG app creates, records, saves, and exports ECG data. Hello everyone, how's the current state of using galaxy watch on a non Samsung device? I'm using a Xiaomi phone but I'll probably buy a pixel in a few months. (My phone is kinda new, fast and have good battery but Miui is the worst - Xiaomi 11T Pro) I'm thinking getting a watch 5 (230€), a watch 4 classic (200€) or a pixel watch (380 Almost correct, body composition works without a samsung phone it is just ECG and blood oxygen. Think it's just ecg and blood pressure that isn't available as it needs the Samsung health monitor app which isn't on the play store for other devices. That's just Google dropping the ball. Hey, so I bought an Galaxy Watch 5 Pro as a present for christmas. I am dumb af and only found out after I bought it, that the ECG feature and the Blood Pressure feature can only be used when I have a Samsung phone. We don't have a Samsung phone. I wanted to ask if it is possible to connect the watch to a Samsung tablet, download the features I just this minute opened the health monitor app and it said it needed to update. After the update it then asked for permission of both the ECG and Blood pressure readings and once accepted I find it now works! Odd but I'm happy it is now doing what it should. to add: Samsung health v6.22.7.003. Health Monitor v1.1.1.227. I want to buy the Galaxy 5 watch, but the salesperson told me it only syncs with Samsung phones now. Is this accurate? I can't find any reliable information online! ( I have a non-samsung android running on Android-12, and I don't plan on changing my phone anytime soon) Yes! I can receive and make calls, and find my phone works. This of course works through bluetooth and you must be within it's range. 1. Reply. revporter. • 3 yr. ago. Yeah, I have the galaxy 3 watch on an LG phone and can access the store (for watch things) 1. I got the watch for displaying my blood sugars as seemed better than other watches not realising i would need a samsung phone. 25-02-2021 12:21 PM in. For ECG/BP there is a way to get it working on NON Samsung phones - its a bit of a faff but can be done. Obviously you'll need to google. The Galaxy Wearable app is the core for everything related to your Samsung smart watch. However, this app is only available on your phone, which means you need to connect your watch and phone together. Samsung watches are only compatible with certain Android and iOS phones - make sure your phone is compatible before you try setting up your watch. Thanks for posting your experience. I was actually considering the Galaxy Active 2 and didn't know that ECG/BP requires a Samsung phone (so dumb). The only watch I saw from the WearOS catalog that had ECG and LTE is the Oppo Watch. I'm sure there's others, but LTE support on WearOS from manufacturers is pretty weak. I guess if I had it I'd use it but it's not worth getting a Pixel watch to have that feature or a Samsung phone. I think the GW5 is an incredible buy and great looking watch. I'm not about to switch either the phone (I've been a Pixel fan since the Nexus 5) or this watch, it's way better than the 2 I had before it. fWvWD3.
